Scholarships are financial aid awarded to students to further their education. Academic merit, diversity and inclusion, athletic skill, and financial need are some of the criteria used to award scholarships. Scholarship criteria are often determined by the values and goals of the donors or sponsors of the awards. Almost 27 crore Indians are 25 to 44-year-olds, the key workforce demographic, A scholarship can provide monetary awards, in-kind awards (e.g., waiving tuition fees or fees for room and board), or a combination of the two.
